Anchovies
Anchovies are small silvery fish with blue-green backs. They usually never grow larger than 8 in.
Atlantic Bar (Loup De Mer)
Atlantic Bar can have somewhat large fillets. They are very white, and the bones can be easily felt and removed. If you've never tasted this fish, it's definitely worth the effort to keep an eye out for it and buy it whenever you see it. The meat, when cooked, is nice and light, somewhat sweet and firm, yet flaky like cod, but the flakes are not as large.
Fresh Portugese Octopus
Octopuses are cephalopod mollusks characterized by having eight arms, no tentacles, and the internal shell lost or considerably reduced. Octopuses consume mostly crustaceans and mollusks, most often small crabs and scallops.
Imported Sardines
The sardine is a slim, long stretched fish, the back is until bluish greenish, the stomach side is silvery. The gill-covers behind the prominently lower jaw are furrowed like radiations, the fins are small. Few other products offer the protein, minerals, vitamins and cholesterol reducing Omega 3 fatty acids that sardines do.
Dorade Royal
The Royal Dorade has silver sides, a red spot on each cheek, and a yellow to gold swollen bump between the eyes, almost on the forehead.
Fresh Dover Sole
An attraction for Gourmets, the Dover Sole has a firm, white flesh and a wonderful subtle flavor. The flesh of the Dover Sole ranges in color from cream to white and has a delicate texture.
Rouget Mediterranean
Rouget has a blunt snout and two barbels are distinctive, as are the three or four yellow stripes running down the flanks. The color varies enormously, and at some times and locations these fish really are very bright red.
Turbot, 3+
.Turbot is a large flatfish that can weigh up to 30 lbs. It is sand-colored and scaleless, with bony tubercles speckling the skin, which is usually removed before the fish is eaten. The meat of the turbot is oily and is regarded by many people as the best of all the edible fishes.
Turbotine, 1-1.5
Turbotine is a member of the flatfish family and is almost completely circular. Turbotine has both its eyes on its left side and has large, bony knots on its dark-coloured eyed side.
